Later that day…

Adjusting to the idea…
This would be a sadder video if he wasn’t smirking…

Wrestling with Daddy…

Trying to steal from the counter…

Using one arm to carry the step stool to successfully steal from the counter…

Playing daredevil in the workshop while Daddy is working out…

Falling while playing daredevil in the workshop while Daddy is working out…

Successfully using a square punch with ONE HAND, and the left hand to boot…
Cute stutter at the end of the clip…

Umm…I think he’s going to be A-OK…

Isn’t it amazing how well they adapt? He looks great, and I love the video. Hope all continues to go well!!!

That first video was so cute. Does he really think his finger is gone? I am amazed with all of the other pictures. What a little dare devil! Most adults would have been laying around all day after a surgery like that.

How long does the cast have to stay on? Looks like everything went well. I was thinking about you all last night and wondering how he was doing. So happy to see him being all ornry.

Love the “Ta Da” moment at the end of the hole punch video. It sure looks like he’s adapting well.

It is RIDICULOUS how well he’s adapted. The Hub said that he even used his monkey toes to take his medicine last night! Good grief!

    Marla,
I do think he thinks it is gone…the splint (which is actually under this cast which is why it looks so lumpy, they didn’t take the splint off to avoid infection) had his thumb free so that he could still see the tip of it and not think that it was gone. They put the cast over the thumb so he wouldn’t shove something down there so close to the incision. I guess if he thinks it is gone he won’t try to retrieve it! But what a surprise to be reunited with it in a few weeks…

Awwww! What a little trooper! And a creative one, to boot!

He is managing it all so well! The pictures are just gorgeous!
