I love my life

Like my twitter, facebook status says…I’m thankful for all the blessings in my life even if they don’t appear to be blessing at the start. I’m grateful for the decisions I have made because they have brought me to where I am today and I love my life.

Have I made bad decisions? Of course! I’m human. There are pros and cons to free will — free consequences. lol. But God has given me opportunities to ‘recover’ and will continue to give me hope for the future opportunities to be who I am meant to be.

Have I made crazy decisions? Yes…they seemed crazy at the time (some still do) but those are the ones that I have seen the most positive results. I believe that all things happen for a reason no matter how devastated I feel at some point. I may never know what that reason is. I may never be the recipient of the benefit. I may never know who did. The good may come long after I am gone and to someone on the other side of the Earth. And…and…and that person may never know the source of their blessing. That’s exciting!

Am I perfect? Duh. But I think I am a good person and I have good intentions. I like the idea of setting an example, despite my shortcomings, but it’s hard for me to showcase vulnerability. However, I personally think God allows “bad things to happen to good people.”**I know that many people have a strong opinion about that and I respect that, so no hate mail please. For me it is about attitude. What you think about you bring about and if I believe that there is a silver lining, then there is one AND I will find it IF I seek it.

So I’m not perfect, my family isn’t perfect, my friends aren’t perfect, my house isn’t perfect, and Lord have mercy, my cooking is not perfect. My life isn’t perfect but it is in His eyes and I am grateful for his perfect plan. It gives me hope. It gives me peace. It gives me comfort and joy.**Are you singing that Christmas Carol now? If not, you will be now! And maybe all day long, if you are like me and get songs stuck in your head. Lol. Remind yourself of the verses of that carol. I pray that God Rest Ye Merry Gentle-People!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
