The Elder’s Bus
3 CommentsThe Elder’s bus broken down way too many times for my comfort level. No call no nothing. It just wouldn’t show up. Because he is one of the last stops, waiting just an extra 10 *Yes, I feel threatened by the tardy rule. Must be the OCD. I have major ‘tardy’ anxiety, though you wouldn’t have guessed that about me.minutes to make sure it’s not coming would result in a tardy. The first time it happened, I panicked and called the school*After that they usually had had a few calls before us. Yesterday, it was almost like she expected me to call even though I was the first parent to report a missing bus.
Lady in the Office: Bring ‘im on in.
The End
*Why the office people recognized him worries me a bit…lolVery matter of fact. The Hub didn’t even need to sign him in. He went to the office, they recognized The Elder*, and they told him to go straight to the classroom.
So this morning when the bus arrived, we were all surprised at its makeover. Or drug-abuse. Lol.

Gosh — no notification or anything!?! How rude!
If the schoolbus is tardy (or absent) why would a school hold it against the child and post the child as tardy? Seems like a rule needs to be established, especially if no notice is provided to you and/or other parents. Who is the customer?
It doesn’t count against him. That is why we have to call the office ahead of time and check him in when we get there. If we just brought him in then it would count as a tardy.
