Find out What Jen Finds to Win (for Jen)
0 CommentsYeah, I’m so stingy. If my readers would come back out of the woodworks, I might have to follow suit and give one away myself. (hint hint)
Tammy at AutismLearningFelt is having her first giveaway and since I’m a statistician, I know that the probability that I will be the recipient of this awesome book increases as I increase my sample size.
—crickets chirping—
For the statistical jargon challenged, that means enter as many times as possible (but with integrity y’all. No pseudonyms here ok?). It’s the raffle ticket and bingo card concept. Got it? Good. So I get TWO bonus entries for blogging about this contest. TWO I say! That’s DOUBLE the bonus entries of all the other options! Score! Of course I am going to attempt to accumulate all the entries that I can. I want to reduce my beta as much as possible!
entries = sample size
beta = chances of entering the contest and still losing
Get it? You do? Great! Except I had to go to grad school to learn that. You are smart.
Anyhoo, sorry about the nerdy, adhd moment.
This book I’m going to win has a wonderful title and purpose. Here was the (first) comment I left on Tammy’s post:
So go check out the book Tammy is giving away. Enter if you want, but use a low sample size ok?
