Did you think I forgot about the contest???  Of course I didn’t! It just took me a while to compile the list of eligible participants because I spread it out so much over the past fews weeks because of technical difficulties.

So after all was said and done, we have ELEVEN participants!! I couldn’t be happier considering I transplanted by blog and the “comments don’t work, not they do, oops they don’t, ok yay they finally work” ordeal.

Miss Nelson from Meaningful Outcomes!

Miss Nelson is from a special breed of educators for special needs children who CARE about the importance of their work and CARE about the children they touch. I think I was just spoiled by The Teacher, that I didn’t recognize just how valuable this special group of teachers are! Thank you Miss Nelson!

So blah blah blah, enough mushy stuff, what did she win?

Well, I was specifically looking for bling for this contest since it was what I originally called the contest (Win Some Bling) but I like the “formal” name (Win What Jen Finds) better. It’s just fitting. And versatile in the event that I can’t find bling. But Miss Nelson you are in LUCK!

In Honor of the Olympics you have won a SILVER MEDAL!

I thought it also fitting that you blogged on Melanie Roach recently too!

It is a silver medal for different reasons:

  1. USA led in the medal standings and had the most silver medalists!
  2. The Trusty Statistician chose 7 as the first random number and as you can see in the picture, um, that would be him. And since he is good as gold but only in MY world, I had The Trusty Statistician choose a second random number (that wasn’t #7)
  3. I couldn’t find a gold medal, and after all it IS Win What Jen Finds. I had 3 medals, what I thought was one of each variety, but I actually had 2 bronze medals and a silver medal.

So Congratulations, Miss Nelson. You do deserve a gold medal though! Please send me an email at findout at whatjenfinds dot com and let me know where you would like for me to ship your awesome prize! BTW, you are just getting the medal, not the pink piece of paper, nor my toes in the background of the photo, but feel free to save the picture to have those things for your scrapbook. ;)

Opportunity is one of those things that can happen in a millisecond. You either jump on it or you are left in the wake of those who did jump. I remember sulking in the wake and watching others taking part in that opportunity of a lifetime. Today I believe that there are a lot of opportunities of a lifetime, even for my particular master plan in life. Success may come sooner if I jump on the bandwagon sooner, but I believe that everything happens in the correct order and that God’s time is always on-time. So do I want to be ready when my opportunity comes? Of course! And I will put in the effort according to my belief in the opportunity (bigger belief always wins, even in a crappy opportunity). But will I get blown off course by the tail wind of it passing me by? Never! I might miss my opportunity of a lifetime!

This is not the original quote that I was teasing you about in my last blogger post about it. But as I went to look it up to make sure I was quoting it correctly (which I wouldn’t have been), I stumbled across this one and it spoke to me as I’m trying to migrate over to wordpress. I’ve found a multitude of reasons why I should have listened to The Hub about starting in Wordpress first as opposed to Blogger BUT I was attracted to the free and the simplicity of blogger. But now that I have seen how much fun he has with his site, I started using it with my business site. And boy did I quickly learn that I liked it better. I did not, however, quickly make the switch which has come back to bite me because for some reason I can only import the first 150 posts. Not sure how I’m going to get the other 80 or so in here other than hanging onto the blogger site for posterity sake (which kinda stresses me out). It also made me aware that I forgot to celebrate my 200th post.
So I still have a plethora of things to post about including:
  • The Elder’s girlfriend
  • “Mommy I have a pattern”
  • Update on the Elder’s school
  • Update on the Younger’s school
  • Why I’m upset about Summer Camp (that just boils my blood thinking about it)
  • “I want to wear these all my life” (that’s just a stand-alone funny, not sure I have to blog about it!)
  • The fate of the playroom
Hopefully when school starts I’ll have time to a) work, and b) blog.

Go ahead and updated your links to www.whatjenfinds.com.And you have to click a lot a lot a lot so that I can get my link love built up since all previous posts have been directed to blogger and blogger will not allow 301 Redirects (for those who just glazed over after reading that phrase, that just means a permanent web address change).
